[INFRA-1601] Datadog doesn't detect when the accountapp is down #1323
Comments
Hi, Sorry for the late answer here. Is this still a relevant issue? I am not sure to understand the problem. Is this related to our Datadog Jenkins plugin? |
Oh I just understood that it is related to https://github.com/jenkins-infra/account-app. Is that anything Datadog can help assist? |
Gregory Zussa thanks for the proposition, just to clarify, it's not related to the datadog plugin and now I realize that this issue description is really unclear. This is an issue related to the jenkins infrastructure project and in order to fix it, we need to improve the accountapp where the code is hosted on https://github.com/jenkins-infra/account-app Before creating datadog monitoring checks on this repository, we should add an api endpoint to check if LDAP connections are working correctly |
Discussing with @olblak we could also create a technical jenkins user, and use a synthetic monitor testing a complete login to check accountapp & ldap connection. |
Synthetic monitor in place and working. |
Even if we monitor https://accounts.jenkins.io, it doesn't seem to detect failures
