Search bar visible but inactive, mispositioned at 1024 pixel wide screen

The Git client page, source file and other pages show the search field from https://www.jenkins.io and ignore values entered in the search field. The wrapping on a 1024 pixel wide screen causes the name of the plugin to be obscured by the second line of the heading bar.

It seems like it should be removed so that users know to enter their search terms in the existing text field.
