Drop the VS Code directory as the current launch task interferes with adding custom tasks for the repository, and the current launch task is not generic enough to support debugging other commands.

Description
Drop the VS Code directory as the current launch task interferes with adding custom tasks for the repository (unless we want to keep committing them to the repo). The current launch task is not generic enough to support debugging other commands.
