TRACK YOUR AFTER-FIX TASKS Create a configuration file with bugs and your corresponding after-fix tasks: # Take a nap bug 579522 If you care about hidden bugs, create an API key from https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=apikey and put it in a file named ~/.after-fix Occasionally run "after-fix.py config-file" to find out which of the tracked bugs have been fixed. PREVENT WORKAROUNDS FROM OUTLIVING THEIR PURPOSE After-fix configuration files can specify files to scan for bug mentions. # Look for assertions we can stop ignoring. contents assertions-to-ignore.txt # Look for tests we forgot to re-enable. contents *.list in ~/trees/mozilla-central/ After-fix has heuristics to distinguish intentional mentions of fixed bugs. For example, it ignores the phrase "test for bug 123456". TIPS * TextWrangler users can "edit foo.js:101". * TextWrangler users can pipe to "edit", select "foo.js:101", and Cmd+D. REQUIREMENTS * Python 2.6. KNOWN BUGS * You have to remember to run after-fix.py, e.g. with a weekly reminder. * Does not warn about inaccessible or nonexistent bugs. * The --html option requires a local Mozilla repository. * Fixed bugs are listed in a silly order.
