What Happened?

I created a new minikube cluster as per below, hoping it would use the static-ip as specified, but it did not.

😄 minikube v1.30.1 on Fedora 38
✨ Using the podman driver based on user configuration
📌 Using Podman driver with root privileges
👍 Starting control plane node minikube in cluster minikube
🚜 Pulling base image ...
E0508 14:54:58.640788 195924 cache.go:188] Error downloading kic artifacts: not yet implemented, see issue #8426
🔥 Creating podman container (CPUs=4, Memory=8192MB) ...
🐳 Preparing Kubernetes v1.26.3 on Docker 23.0.2 ...
    ▪ Generating certificates and keys ...
    ▪ Booting up control plane ...
    ▪ Configuring RBAC rules ...
🔗 Configuring bridge CNI (Container Networking Interface) ...
    ▪ Using image gcr.io/k8s-minikube/storage-provisioner:v5
🌟 Enabled addons: storage-provisioner, default-storageclass
🔎 Verifying Kubernetes components...

❗ /home/magnus.boman/bin/kubectl is version 1.24.2, which may have incompatibilities with Kubernetes 1.26.3.
    ▪ Want kubectl v1.26.3? Try 'minikube kubectl -- get pods -A'
🏄 Done! kubectl is now configured to use "minikube" cluster and "default" namespace by default
❯ minikube ip
192.168.49.2

Doing the same, but with the docker driver works.

It seems like the parameter is missing from the podman setup:

Not sure why the integration tests are not failing, for KIC Podman ?
