How‐to: Make a PDF from the formula collection

Turning SFCalcSheet’s formula collection into a PDF file is not a complicated task. All you need is a browser extension that lets you select, delete and/or crop elements of a webpage. We are using “Print Edit WE” here.

  1. Install the Print Edit WE browser extension (Chrome/Chromium, Firefox).
  2. Click its icon in the browser toolbar. A small toolbar with many buttons will appear on the top of the webpage.
  3. Place the mouse cursor between any two lines of text after the “SFCalcSheet formula collection” heading. This should make the red rectangle tightly “hug” the innermost page text (without the page title and sidebar). Technically spoken you have now selected everything within the div classed “markdown-body”.
  4. Click inside the rectangle. It should turn into a solid pink.
  5. Click “Delete Except” in the extension’s toolbar and select any item from the popup menu. The webpage should now be cropped to just the text body without further elements.
  6. Click “Preview” in the extension toolbar. A print dialog will open. Leave the page settings alone and select „Save to PDF“ as the target.
  7. Click “Save”, select a file to save to, and you are done!
