Order status change is not synced when done through webapi

Preconditions

1. Magento CE 2
2. Version 10x.x.x of the module
3. Order status changes are triggered by using magento webapi

Steps to reproduce

1. Place order at the storefront
2. Change the order status (e.g from "Pending" to "Processing"
3. Wait 10 minutes (it should take that time for the cronjob "ebizmarts_ecommerce" to attempt to sync the change in the order's status)

Actual and Expected result

Expected result:
Order status change is correctly reflected in Mailchimp
Actual result:
Order status remains unchanged in Mailchimp
