Scala Connect

A simple social connect app by scala, just like any other simple social forum, it will support

  • Membership
  • Different topic
  • Publish your post at different topic
  • Comment on the post
  • ...

  • Bootstrap css framework 3.3.6+
  • AngularJS 1.x.x (maybe)
  • ReactJs/Flux (maybe)
  • Play framework 2.x
  • Play Slick 1.x
  • Slick 3.x
  • MySQL

Installation

  • IDE, prefer to Ultimate IDEA with Scala plugin and Nodejs plugin
  • By git clone, or download it
  • The app is at /service/web folder
  • The front design is at /front folder
  • The document is at /doc folder
  • Some test among different language is at /test folder
  • Run it, in /service/web folder, activator ~run
  • Run test, in /service/web folder, activator then test or test-only
  • Db schema and seed script is at /service/web/test/migration folder, use test-only run it
  • All modules and related to HTTP in /service/web/app/process folder
  • All modules and related to Data in /service/web/app/service folder
  • Some higher heriatage class and helper is at /service/web/app/core
  • Basicall that's all, ask question in issue if you have any

Please read it first before you would like to contribute anything.

It's learning project, to learn best practice of Play, Slick, or Scala by coding it. To keep changing it by adopting more and more best practice is always the priority.

I recommand we write wiki page to share what we learned constantly:

  • The resource to learn Play, Slick and Scala

Then we can really learn Play, Slick and Scala together.
