Getting Started

Prerequisites

Ensure you have the following installed on your local machine:

• Python 3.x
• pip (Python package installer)
• Git

Installation

Follow these steps to set up the project on your local machine:

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/marse11e/Discussion-Forum-Django.git

2. Navigate to the project directory:

cd Discussion-Forum-Django

3. Create a virtual environment:

pip install virtualenv
virtualenv env

4. Activate the virtual environment:

• On Windows:

env\Scripts\activate

• On macOS and Linux:

source env/bin/activate

5. Install the dependencies:

pip install -r requirements.txt

Running the Application

To start the development server, use the following command:

python manage.py runserver

Once the server is running, you can access the application at http://127.0.0.1:8000/.
