Channels from which the IRC bridge is banned

Some channels have opted to ban the Matrix IRC bridge to cut back on the large amount of disconnects from the Matrix users until the kinks have been worked out.

Freenode

  • #drupal-google: Matrix users with the default *[m] nick still used are banned.
  • ##espanol: Possibly bans all users from the matrix.org bridge.
  • #lobsters: The lobste.rs owner and channel admin jcs will ban users for chatting with the bridge, appears to 'tolerate' lurkers.
  • #nginx: All users using the matrix.org and the KDE.org bridges are banned (!*@*/gateway/shell/*)
  • #solus, #solus-dev: All users from the matrix.org bridge are banned (*!*@gateway/shell/matrix.org/x-*)
  • ##techsupport: All users from the matrix.org bridge are banned (*!*@gateway/shell/matrix.org/*)
  • #ubuntu: Matrix users with the default *[m] nick still used are banned.
  • #gentoo-kde: Both matrix.org and KDE.org bridges are banned.
  • #bash: banned all Matrix users as of 2018-06-04
