[R] Fix 32-bit build

[guolinke]

fix #3187

The handle type should be int, otherwise, its size will be always 8 bytes on both 32bit and 64bit build, and cause the problems.

oh interesting. If you want better logs, on your machine you can do this.

but that is great that the 32 bit tests pass! Maybe we can use if statements to decide how to initialize the handle?

cool idea, for 64-bit system, the handle should be the type with 8 bytes.
The current solution will force them to 4 bytes.
