Highlights

New WCAG 2.2 requirements in Assessment

Accessibility Insights for Web now has 4 new requirements for existing tests and 1 new test with 2 new requirements:

  • Focus test
    • Focus Not Obscured (WCAG 2.4.11)
  • Pointer/Motion test
    • Dragging Movements (WCAG 2.5.7)
    • Target Size (WCAG 2.5.8)
  • Repetitive content test
    • Consistent Help (WCAG 3.2.6)
  • Cognitive test (New!)
    • Redundant entry (WCAG 3.2.7)
    • Authentication (WCAG 3.3.8)

This covers WCAG 2.2 AA success criteria. All new requirements are marked with the "New in WCAG 2.2" tag. Additionally, the Parsing requirement is marked with a "Deprecated for WCAG 2.2" tag, as it has been deprecated for WCAG 2.2 but is still required for WCAG 2.1.
