This library provides objects and algorithms for designing, processing and training Artificial Neural Networks in Ruby.
Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
gem 'rann'
And then execute:
$ bundle
Or install it yourself as:
$ gem install rann
See examples/
To run an example:
git clone https://github.com/mikecmpbll/rann.git
cd rann
bin/setup
ruby examples/xor.rb
So much.
- Matrix calculations (WIP)
- Convenience methods for setting up standard network topologies, crucially, layers (WIP)
- Batch normalization/drop out/early stopping (WIP, dep. on matrix)
- Hyperparameter optimisation
- Other adaptive learning rate algorithms (Adadelta, Adam, etc?)
- Explore matrix operations and other ways to optimise performance of algorithms
- RPROP?
- More examples
- Tests
After checking out the repo, run bin/setup
to install dependencies. Then, run rake test
to run the tests. You can also run bin/console
for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.
To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install
. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb
, and then run bundle exec rake release
, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem
file to rubygems.org.
