Option to Keep Deck Playing on Track Load #10548
Comments
Commented by: Be-ing I don't think this would be a good idea. This would make it very easy to accidentally play something you don't want to. |
Commented by: ronso0 If someone can confirm this is default behaviour in Serato (and users like it) we can add that option. (someone has do it though :) Preferences > Decks already has three options related to track load/clone. Those and this fourth option could go into a Track Load section. |
Commented by: formirthonly Cool, thanks. https://support.serato.com/hc/en-us/articles/223363407-DJ-Preferences I would love for this option because it's annoying to keep having to click/press play after loading a track. In almost all cases, I want the deck (deck A) to just keep playing so I can just hit cue points to lineup with the other track (deck B that's currently on with volume up). |
Commented by: formirthonly video of the feature: granted, as ronso0 mentioned, it's not desirable for everyone at all times. But it's an option that's on by default in Serato, and it's something I'm used to having. |
I've implemented this (see screenshot) but now that I see it, I think it should be combined with "Playing track protection" into a single radio/selection box.
Any thoughts? |
Yes, I would even swap the order: Loading a track, when deck is playing: |
Sounds good. Lemme put together a PR. |

This is a feature request for the option to allow new track loads on a deck to auto play, (or keep the deck playing, however you want to interpret this).
So for example:
I think this behavior is normal in Serato.
