This PR updates the existing Store links across the website/docs to point to the new templates page:

Why

The Store has been restructured to better highlight available templates, with a page specific tailored for templates. This update ensures all relevant links now point directly to the new templates section, improving navigation and user experience.

The Store has been restructured to better highlight available templates, with a page specific tailored for templates. This update ensures all relevant links now point directly to the new templates section, improving navigation and user experience.

I'm not sure to follow the rationale, two dimensions:

  • UX: I find the store home page (current) a nice experience, it feels a bit better than the new link: you get to see the top-selling items, potentially the free ones if we ever add some, the new items, etc. So my question would be: what's the appeal? I actually feel that on mui.com/store, we shouldn't show MUI X or MUI for Figma items, those should have entry points through other places, e.g. from the pricing page.

  • SEO: "react templates" is the most important query to be positioned on for SEO: https://app.ahrefs.com/rank-tracker/overview/2944028?date=2024-07-19%2C2024-08-18&limit=50&offset=0&order=volume%3Adesc&source=desktop, it has the highest volume. We are already positioned first with mui.com/store/.

    • If we split the page rank to different URLs, sometimes mui.com/store/, sometimes mui.com/store/templates/, we risk not ranking first anymore (not having enough page rank since spilled).
    • Even if we link everything to mui.com/store/templates/ going forward, changing URLs always introduces a downturn of 3 months and we are not guaranteed to recover.

So my question would be: why risk an SEO change if it already works? I could get it if the plan is to rank a different query for mui.com/store and we need to make space.

Ah, also I forgot: https://mui.com/store/templates/ is not usable today for ranking any SEO keywords per https://github.com/mui/mui-private/pull/501.
