Event format strings for structured arguments

format_string appears to a necessary attribute of event, so what do you do in this situation?

GDS already dumps raw packets here <deployment>/logs/<date stamp>/recv.bin

For CompoundThing, you can use %s, since the type is autocoded to build a value out of the members in to a string.
