We are a very international group here, and people seem to feel quite
strongly about this (apparently also a question of the culture one grew up
with, some of my colleagues seem to associate a "Sunday start" with being
Roman Catholic ...). Yet we all share the same locale.
It would be nice if one could configure this. Is there a general case for
not making things configurable? If there is anything configurable, where
would I find that? Is there a configuration file or a way to get to this
through the UI?
show week with/without Saturday and/or Sunday

Seems like a very special use-case ...
Well, somethings like university teaching just take place Mo-Fr, and on a
mobile screen, it would allow us to display more text for students to
navigate the many courses offered.
font sizes / scaling

If there are issues with accessibility we should just fix it and not make
it configurable.
I was more thinking different screen sizes / resolutions but yes, I guess
it is also an accessibility issue. Several of our colleagues past 50 need
bigger fonts. For the rest, smaller font sizes mean less scrolling.
Thank you for your consideration!

Hm, I was under the impression that this is properly handled by the locale … if it’s not, then there should indeed be a Calendar setting.
A checkbox »Show weekend« (checked by default of course) might indeed be good for people who primarily use the calendar in work environments so they can disable it.
This can easily be done by using browser zoom to individual liking. :) |
It is :)
Let's change this issue to add this option
👍 |
Corresponding fullcalendar setting: https://fullcalendar.io/docs/display/weekends/ |
The GB English option has been removed from NC12. In NC11, this was the way that the calendar could be configured to use Monday as the first day of the week, with the Sat/Sun together at the end of the week whilst keeping English as the language. In NC12, I use French to define Monday (lundi) as the start of the week, but this is not ideal for many people. |
Languages being removed are an issue for the server: https://github.com/nextcloud/server |
Ah, that will be very helpful! Many thanks.

Is it possible to add GB English back to NC12 as an option?
Languages being removed are an issue for the server:

But the region setting is already in development: nextcloud/server#5623

@aditigupta17 Would you like to look into this? :) |
Ya sure! Can I be redirected to the file which has to be edited? |
This is in fact pretty common. Is it possible currently to hide sundays only? EDIT: Apparently fullcalendar allows hiding any days (per there doc). I guess I'll add that setting in my manual editing of the minified js (alongside minTime and maxTime that are not configurable either)! |
We are new to nextcloud so I apologize if I'm missing the obvious.
Is there a way to configure the Calendar App? I'm thinking of options like:
Where could I set such things up? If all of this is hard-coded, I would kindly ask to consider this as a possible future feature.
