Useful for clients wanting to intergrate non-custodal wallet features. > Intended for use with bitcoin, but could be used with any invoice payment system that can pay invoices/create invoices/check payment status.
No more opening of ports for your bitcoin lightning node, it can remain safe/sound on your local network 🤗 |
Seems like a duplicate of #406 |
Mwahaha. A lesson for me that I cant search nips properly. |
This sounds like a great idea. 👍 |
@kiwiidb NIP-47 looks like it's just for making payments although it does mention other possible commands. Are there any other PRs for generating invoices for example? |
No, not at the moment, because LN Address is already the established method for generating invoices. There has been some discussion here: lnurl/luds#203 , but that seems kinda a dead-end. |
All bitcoin lightning wallet clients connected to nodes use http/tor, they should also be able to use nostr.

We wanted LNbits to have a funding source that could pay invoices/create invoices/check payment status all over nostr DMs, but usefulness extends way beyond our use case.
