I'm exploring bringing in the (adjusted) spec pages via a mount, but have run into a snag. For details, see https://discourse.gohugo.io/t/content-mount-problem-for-single-language-multilingual-site/37215.

I'm going to consider this done:

  • The spec has been successfully integrated (via a git submodule) using an adjust-mardown script.
  • Interestingly, the spec pages account for 13-15% of the non-homepage website traffic!

We can continue to track the remaining issue separately via the following, since it is a "longer-term" improvement task that is addressed incrementally with each spec release (~ monthly):
