I have made a seperate PR to upgrade eslint to v9, where I have manually resolved most of the dependency issues with the necessary upgrades (@typescript-eslint/eslint-plugin to ^8.0.1, @typescript-eslint/parser to ^8.0.1, eslint-config-airbnb-typescript to ^18.0.0). However, as detailed in the PR#157 comment latest version of eslint-config-airbnb-typescript@18.0.0 does not support v9 & for eslint v9 support we would have to wait on airbnb/javascript#2961
