Both of you are in fault, this is not how we behave on a public platform like GitHub. @tarunkumar2005, these things happen in open source. There's no need to get upset or call repositories "trash" just because an issue wasn't assigned to you. It's great that you're in the top 15, which truly reflects your hard work and consistency. The project is good and quite impressive. You could have asked more politely why he labeled your issue as spam but degrading others is not a good thing to do neither we can judge anyone I apologize for his behaviour towards you @tarunkumar2005 @TejasNasre, You could have said you're not angry first and calmly explained why you don't assign certain types of issues. There was no need to say someone is "polluting open source" with their issues, they might take it in a wrong way as he said this issue were accepted by other PAs in other repos that's why he found similar issue in your project and raise the issue. Everyone here is still learning, and as an experienced contributor and project admin, it's important to be open and supportive and guide them so that they do not make the same mistake twice. and I apologize to you too on behalf of tarun @TejasNasre The conclusion is there was miscommunication and misunderstanding between you two, GSSoC is about collaboration, community building, and networking, No one is more, and no one is less; everyone is equal. Let's keep our focus on positive contributions and open source growth. Try to move on and not take things personally! |
