Learn about vigilant mode.

This is the first release, with an Uber CLI for which folks can:
a) initialize their account. Please see https://developer.uber.com/docs/riders/guides/authentication for more information for how to setup authentication for your account as well finally https://developer.uber.com/docs/riders/guides/authentication/introduction#oauth-20 to get OAuth2.0 credentials
b) view their history
c) order a car to their a pickup location and set their final destination

Installation

$ go get -u -v github.com/orijtech/uber/cmd/uber

N.B: At the bottom are binaries for those that don't have Go or are in constrained environments.

init

Requested in #44 and implemented by PR #45.
init initializes the context and authorization for your Uber app in the current working directory

$ go get -u -v github.com/orijtech/uber/cmd/uber
$ uber init

which after successful authorization will give you a notice in your browser, to return to
your terminal and will save the token to a file on disk, for example:

Successfully saved your OAuth2.0 token to "/Users/orijtech/uber-account/.uber/credentials.json"

From then on, for that Uber account, please go into that directory "/Users/orijtech/uber-account/"
in order to use that account

history

Requested in #44 and implemented by PR #45.
history allows you to retrieve and examine your previous trips in a tabular form

$ uber history -h

for all available options.

  • List your last 3 trips
$ uber history --limit-per-page 3 --max-page 1
