Buildpack Spec v0.5 includes an RFC that makes substantial changes to the mechanism for defining a bill-of-materials for an image.

Packit should adhere to this RFC when executing a buildpack with the 0.5 API version, while still maintaining backwards compatibility for buildpacks that are unable to transition to v0.5 immediately. Backwards compatible support can be removed at a future date.
