I am now have second thoughts about adding the 3D version, and have incorporated the superformula into the function for the supershape.
I have been experimenting with rendering the 3d supershape with lygia (and re-read Inigo Quelez's article on the inadvisability of including trig in 3d SDFs.) While there are some cool shapes that can be rendered, the SDF breaks for certain parameter combinations/interactions with other SDFs and has a slow load time. I am sorry that I didn't try to check this before!!
