How to compile under Windows?

There are compilation instructions for Windows and precompiled DLLs for Windows but I can find no instructions on how to compile on Windows.

Status update:
I had to download all the components (mainly VS2008) but now I've got everything.
If everything goes well you'll see a patch sometime within twenty-four hours.

Update:
I'm getting weird errors relating to the phpize script. Still trying to debug.

hi shancat, phpize only works on linux/unix, do you need any help?

Yeah, help would be much appreciated. There seems to be no one reliable source of build information and I'm not really sure what to do. I had it at one point but got stuck on the phpize step. What was your workaround?
