Result of the UI/UX group from the Heidelberg Sprint 2018 (@stranack @NateWr).

The current filtering (submission queue on the dashboard) might benefit from adding some more default filters. Especially for large-volume journals and to screen critical states of submissions.

Possible filter refinements:

  • Overdue (invitation)
  • Overdue (comments)
  • All reviews in, decision required
  • Revision uploaded
  • Filter by section editor [Issue]
  • No activity within 30 days, maybe only for those submissions where we have to take action, e.g., if all reviews are here, or all reviewers are over-due and the SE has to react now (cf. issue #4101, the "Inactive" quick-filter button)
  • Sort by last modified date

I've ported the new suggestions over to #2612 and linked the existing recommendations in to this so that we can see that this is a priority for the Sprint 2018 UI/UX group.

I'm going to close this but let me know if I missed anything at #2612.
