I'm Quentin, data scientist and ecologist. I'm the Southeast Area Statistician for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service, located on the campus of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. I work with datasets about everything from Georgia peaches 🍑 to Hawaiian bees 🐝 to Arkansas groundwater 🌊 to Florida sugarcane 🍭! I joined USDA in October 2021. - 🔭 I’m currently working on promoting Bayesian statistics, high-performance computing, and open reproducible science among USDA agricultural researchers.
- ⭐ My favorite past project was all about impacts of food waste and diet on global biodiversity (see Shiny app here). I also am proud to have maintained the rslurm R package for four years.
- 🌱 I’m currently learning more about bioinformatics, statistical learning methods, publishing reproducible data science workflows, and building up my Stan-fu skills.
