adding torrent doesnt seem to set save path

im trying to add a torrent and set the save_path but this doesnt seem to work. no matter what i put in the save_path arg, the default path is used instead. ive also tried setting download_path

However, save_path is the final location of the torrent. If you have a directory configured for incomplete torrents, it'll go there until it's first.

I would also explore what happens in the qBittorrent web ui. You can press F12 to open the developer console where you can see the individual network requests.

I figured it out and it's because the default torrent management mode is set to auto in the client. Looks like if the is true then it ignores the save path
