It seems to work for me (domain censored): >>> client.torrents_add(urls="https://releases.ubuntu.com/22.04.1/ubuntu-22.04.1-desktop-amd64.iso.torrent", save_path="/torrents/test_dir")
00:15:55 DEBUG connectionpool _get_conn Resetting dropped connection: example.com
00:15:55 DEBUG connectionpool _make_request https://example.com:443 "GET /qbittorrent/api/v2/app/webapiVersion HTTP/1.1" 200 6
00:15:55 DEBUG connectionpool _make_request https://example.com:443 "POST /qbittorrent/api/v2/torrents/add HTTP/1.1" 200 3
'Ok.'
>>> client.torrents_info(torrent_hashes="3b245504cf5f11bbdbe1201cea6a6bf45aee1bc0")[0].download_path
00:31:19 DEBUG connectionpool _make_request https://example.com:443 "POST /qbittorrent/api/v2/torrents/info HTTP/1.1" 200 607
'/torrents/0in_process'
>>> client.torrents_info(torrent_hashes="3b245504cf5f11bbdbe1201cea6a6bf45aee1bc0")[0].save_path
00:16:42 DEBUG connectionpool _make_request https://example.com:443 "POST /qbittorrent/api/v2/torrents/info HTTP/1.1" 200 627
'/torrents/test_dir' However, I can also use >>> client.torrents_add(urls="https://releases.ubuntu.com/22.04.1/ubuntu-22.04.1-desktop-amd64.iso.torrent", download_path="/torrents/test_dir")
00:28:39 DEBUG connectionpool _get_conn Resetting dropped connection: example.com
00:28:39 DEBUG connectionpool _make_request https://example.com:443 "GET /qbittorrent/api/v2/app/webapiVersion HTTP/1.1" 200 6
00:28:39 DEBUG connectionpool _make_request https://example.com:443 "POST /qbittorrent/api/v2/torrents/add HTTP/1.1" 200 3
'Ok.'
>>> client.torrents_info(torrent_hashes="3b245504cf5f11bbdbe1201cea6a6bf45aee1bc0")[0].download_path
00:28:53 DEBUG connectionpool _make_request https://example.com:443 "POST /qbittorrent/api/v2/torrents/info HTTP/1.1" 200 624
'/torrents/test_dir'
>>> client.torrents_info(torrent_hashes="3b245504cf5f11bbdbe1201cea6a6bf45aee1bc0")[0].save_path
00:28:59 DEBUG connectionpool _make_request https://example.com:443 "POST /qbittorrent/api/v2/torrents/info HTTP/1.1" 200 624
'/torrents/3ready' I would also explore what happens in the qBittorrent web ui. You can press F12 to open the developer console where you can see the individual network requests. |

I figured it out and it's because the default torrent management mode is set to auto in the client. Looks like if the is true then it ignores the save path
