Prepare for release:

  • Check current CRAN check results
  • devtools::check(remote = TRUE, manual = TRUE)
  • devtools::check_win_devel()
  • rhub::check_for_cran()
  • revdepcheck::revdep_check(num_workers = 4)
  • Update cran-comments.md
  • Polish NEWS
  • Review pkgdown reference index for, e.g., missing topics

Submit to CRAN:

  • usethis::use_version('patch')
  • devtools::submit_cran()
  • Approve email

Wait for CRAN...

Unfortunately codemetar is not available from CRAN anymore since 2020-06-30, which I realised today because this broke my CI today:

as check issues were not corrected in time.

@maelle is there a roadmap that codemetar returns on CRAN or do you currently have no ressources to fix the open issues?

@cboettig?

mrustl added a commit to KWB-R/pkgmeta that referenced this issue Jul 1, 2020
as codemetar v0.1.8 was archived on 2020-06-30 "as check issues were not corrected in time."
https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/codemetar/index.html

asked for roadmap of v0.1.9 release (ropensci/codemetar#289)
