Worked in rspec 1.x, now does not...
Im running with different options files for development/integration-server, but this does no longer work in rspec 2.

We need to figure out what to do with options stored in ~/.rspec and/or ./.rspec when --options is used? My instinct is that they should be ignored entirely to keep things simple. WDYT?

I think ignoring them is the simplest / what users would expect

Restore --options CLI option from rspec-1

  • sets path to custom options file
  • ignores ~/.rspec and ./.rspec
  • Closed by d7e4033.

timcharper pushed a commit to timcharper/rspec-core that referenced this issue Aug 19, 2011
- sets path to custom options file
- ignores ~/.rspec and ./.rspec
- Closes rspec#228.
