More prior art: Debian has "pdiffs", where it provides incremental deltas from the complete "Packages" file for a certain period of time, so that
apt update
can download those incremental deltas if it isn't too far out of date. There have been several revisions to that approach, to minimize the number of diffs that an update must download.There was a problem hiding this comment.

Is pdiff similar to zsync?
