Some changes occurred in src/tools/clippy. cc @rust-lang/clippy Some changes occurred in src/tools/rustfmt. Some changes occured to rustc_codegen_cranelift cc @bjorn3 rustdoc-json-types is a public (although nightly-only) API. Consider changing cc @CraftSpider,@aDotInTheVoid Changes rustc_apfloat. rustc_apfloat is currently in limbo and you almost certainly don't want to change it (see #55993). cc @eddyb |

Since RFC 3052 soft deprecated the authors field anyway, hiding it from crates.io, docs.rs, and making Cargo not add it by default, and it is not generally up to date/useful information, we should remove it from crates in this repo.

rfc3052 followup: Remove authors field from Cargo manifests Since RFC 3052 soft deprecated the authors field, hiding it from crates.io, docs.rs, and making Cargo not add it by default, and it is not generally up to date/useful information for contributors, we may as well remove it from crates in this repo.
