Since git v1.8.3 the --track option of git branch generates fatal error such as fatal: Cannot setup tracking information; starting point 'remotes/svn/???' is not a branch (see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/17852249/svn2git-cannot-setup-tracking-information and nirvdrum/svn2git#132). So far, removing this option does not exhibit any kind of problem in my config.
