Pomodoro Chrome Extension

Pomodoro Timer Chrome Extension

This is a Pomodoro Timer Chrome extension as an experiment written exclusively using ChatGPT Plus. All code is generated 100% from ChatGPT. Using GPT4 model.

What is Pomodoro?

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method that uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. This technique aims to improve productivity by allowing individuals to focus on work in short, uninterrupted bursts.

Usage

As an end user, you can download the extension from the Chrome Web Store and add it to your Chrome browser. Once added, you can click on the extension icon to open the popup window. From the popup, you can select a preset timer (10 minutes, 25 minutes, or 60 minutes) or enter a custom duration in minutes. Click the "Start" button to begin the timer, and the countdown will begin. When the timer ends, you will receive a notification and an audio alert.

As a developer, you can clone the repository and load the unpacked extension in developer mode. The repository contains the popup, background, and manifest files. You can modify the popup HTML and JavaScript files to add or remove functionality, modify the background file to handle events, and modify the manifest file to configure the extension.
