Should fix snipe#2939. Cannot test at the moment, so please check :)

Tested. Everything works. Fleshed out the tests some. I tried to get travis to run functional tests, but it's not going so well and I can't figure out why so I reverted those commits for now. |

I'be only ever been able to get Travis to run unit tests :( |
