Maybe a stupid suggestion, but is it possible in theory to record a piece of streaming video, YouTube, etc.? That would be uberfeature!
Well, for example, this one: can do something similar. There was an idea whether it is possible to unite somehow.

ytdl_hook turns urls of a youtube video into edl:// ones, which is not supported by ffmpeg.
Maybe we can manually parse it and pass real urls to ffmpeg.

Maybe we need to replace ffmpeg with mpv itself.

@snylonue Sorry, I didn't understand what you meant. I have all the latest versions, yt-dlp, ffmpeg, mpv all in PATH. Well other similar scripts work. This one only works with local files, for example, it does not work with YouTube. It even shows nothing in the console.

I just recorded some ideas so that it would be easier to start when I have time to write a fix. I'm sorry that it bothered you.
