I approve but let me tell you why newlines are so important:
Once upon a time, in the Kingdom of CodeLand, the files were the backbone of the kingdom, much like the pillars supporting grand buildings. Each type of file in CodeLand - be it JavaScript, Python, C++, or others - played a crucial role in maintaining the harmony and functioning of the kingdom.
However, there was one thing that was often overlooked: the humble ending newline character. It was the unassuming helper, the last touch on every beautifully written artifact, ensuring a subtle but important intersection between art and function.
You see, in CodeLand, files were not solitary. They interacted with an entire world of tools and systems, many of which were designed in the ancient times, conforming to Unix Lore and POSIX standard. This Old Law stated that a 'line' should end with a newline character, scribed as \n
. Those tools, built to respect the Old Law, always expected this newline at the end of files.
When the gallant knight Git rode in, it came with its own tools of 'version control' and 'line comparison'. Without this modest newline at the end of a file, Git would mark another innocent line as changed, obfuscating the true nature of modifications and muddying the clean history of CodeLand's progress.
Moreover, the scribes and librarians who used to bind together multiple inscriptions into a grand book, using magic like cat tome1 tome2 > tome3
, needed this newline character. It meant that the start of a new inscription wasn't hastily scribbled onto the end of the previous one, but had its own clearly defined beginning.
Additionally, the wise elders who crafted code quality tools – the grand lint, the skillful prettier – urged for this new line. But not for caprices; they foresaw the chaos that ensues without it. It would confound other programs, create unexpected entanglements, and violate the rules of standardization handed down through ages.
So, the tale of the newline is a simple ending to every file. Yet, it weaves seamlessly into the larger story of CodeLand, ensuring that, despite its obscurity, it remains one of the most valuable underappreciated tools in the Kingdom of CodeLand.

I found some minor typos and optimized readability slightly.
