Is it possible to disable multitenancy after install?

So we integrated multitenancy and have it in production fine.

However our use case has now changed, we still have a client using the tenancy feature, so we need to keep active for them, on base install and local development though we now need this inactive.

Is there a route of disabling the system by default, at present I have restricted the discovery of the package and our own module that provides the middleware but it seems to remain active:

Solved, I had missed that the service provider of our own package had been added to the app.php config, commented and clear cache and its working as expected.
