Hello!

My name is Jeremy KUHN and I am a computer science enthusiast. After more than 20 years analyzing, designing and developing softwares and software frameworks, I felt the need to express my skills in an open source project summarizing my vision of how modern softwares should be designed and built.

I regard myself as a Java addict who ambitions to produce softwares of the highest quality that are durable, easy to maintain, efficient and configurable.

I've been working on the Inverno Framework for almost a year now with the aim to produce the best possible Java middleware for developing complete modern applications.

A first milestone release full of promises was delivered recently which allows to create performant reactive microservices applications that start fast thanks to a new approach to IoC/DI principles that reduces runtime footprint to the minimum.

Although there are many well-made Java frameworks which have been used for years to develop quality Java applications, the Inverno Framework has much to offer, it results from a deep analysis of today's technological landscape explaining why new ways should be explored to meet modern applications expectations in terms of modularity, efficiency, maintainability and configurability.

Sponsorships to me will help me continue working on this great open source project. I envision to deliver missing base features such as security (authentication, authorization, OAuth2/OpenId full implementation, SAML...), data access (JDBC, R2DBC, Redis...), customization (user preferences...), messaging (JMS, Kafka...), monitoring (metrics, prometheus integration...) and move on to more advanced topics such as tracing, service mesh (circuit breaker, A/B testing...) or the use of other network protocols than HTTP more suited for distributed services (MQTT, AMQP)
