Writing the smallest "spatial" R packages possible for use in further development. I want to have a suite of many packages that do a particular job, small composable parts that can be used together in flexible ways.
There is a huge suite of spatial data that can be referred to as "meshes", triangulations, track data as continuous line segments, point clouds, and index quad rasters. These are blatantly ignored by standard spatial tools even though they provide rich solutions and are extremely flexible.
