As an organization, samplics has the ambition to bring the state of the art data science tools to the most vulnerable communities and other organizations, helping people strive. Samplics will achieve this by focusing on

• Develop open-source data tools to close some critical gaps. For example, samplics is a Python package for analyzing survey sample data. Samplics will provide an essential piece currently missing in the Python ecosystem. Surveys are one of the fundamental tools used by governments, NGOs, etc., to inform and guide public policies for progress.

• Develop educational materials to help data scientists and analysts in disadvantaged communities, e.g., data scientists in developing countries, access free and good quality resources.

• Build a community of learners and experienced data scientists and analysts to help democratize knowledge and know-how. Samplics want to empower every data scientist and analyst, especially in the most disadvantaged communities, with the necessary knowledge and tools to help them improve their market value.

Our initial focus is the development of samplics. But our ambition is much bigger, and we will share more details soon.
