Become a sponsor to SQLFluff
SQLFluff supports great SQL development, both through catching issues earlier in the development process but mostly through driving consistent and robust style and through that, enabling a wider audience to effectively work with data and do more without relying on technical gatekeepers.
SQLFluff is entirely funded by donations. We have no paid employees, and do not have a paid commercial offering to help fund expenses. All our development work is done by volunteers, either just for fun - or because we use SQLFluff in our day jobs.
All of our maintainers work in the data and analytics space at a range of businesses across the world, including active communities in London, UK and in the USA. The most likely place you'll find groups of us meeting IRL is in the London area.
Sponsorship goes toward a few key costs:
- ⚙️ Operating costs like domain hosting, slack, docs hosting and compute costs for SQLFluff online.
- 🏹 We'd like to be able to offer bounties on significant core development features [pending available funding]. These bounties would be available to any contributor, and so serve as a way of widening participation.
- 🤗 In the future we may provide incentives to the community members who act as the glue of the community, offering help on our slack community, reviewing pull requests and triaging issues.
All of these support the continued operation of SQLFluff to ensure it remains freely available for all.
