Our meetings are hosted on google meet. To attend meetings, you need to be signed in to your black-holes.org google account. If you don't have a black-holes.org account, please email Larry or Mark.

Feel free to attend any meeting! If you are new, you should attend the SXS Group Meeting to learn about projects that are going on and to meet people. A lot of the other meetings are technical in nature, involving code development and usage questions. If you have questions about a particular code, are using a particular code, or have results you want to talk about, the corresponding meetings can be very helpful. (Remember that you can always ask questions on Slack).

Note: currently the meetings listed here are not linked to the SXS calendar. Therefore if a meeting is moved or canceled, changes will not be reflected here. For an auto-generated list of meetings see our old wiki.

Regularly scheduled meetings (click on meeting name to enter the meeting):

  • SpECTRE Code: Mondays 11:15 ET (08:15 PT, 10:15 CT, 17:15 Central European) (Wiki)

    • Updates from everyone working on SpECTRE, followed by technical discussion.

  • SpEC Hydro: Mondays 14:00 ET (11:00 PT) (Wiki)

    • Discussion of matter simulations (e.g. BHNS, NSNS) using SpEC.

  • Cornell Undergraduates: Mondays 14:00 ET (11:00 PT)

    • Cornell undergrad visualization team.

  • SpEC Bugs: Tuesdays 11:00 ET, 8:00 PT, 17:00 CET

  • SpEC Vacuum: Wednesdays 11:00 ET (08:00 PT) (Wiki)

    • Discussion of issues related to BBH simulations with SpEC.

  • Cornell Undergraduates: Wednesdays 13:30 ET (10:30 PT)

    • Cornell undergrad visualization team.

  • Surrogate Models: Every other Monday 10:00 ET (7:00 PT) (Wiki)

    • Discussions of building surrogate models for numerical relativity simulation output.

  • SpECTRE Tech: Thursdays 13:00 ET (10:00 PT) (Wiki)

    • Technical questions by anyone writing SpECTRE code.

  • SpECTRE BBH: Every other Thursday 16:30 ET (13:30 PT) (Wiki)

    • Anything and everything SpECTRE BBH.

  • SXS Executive Committee: Thursdays 14:30 ET (11:30 PT)

  • NR Community Call: Wiki, Zoom; First Monday of the month at 9am Pacific time

    • Recent developments across the whole NR community

Note that some google meet links are used for more than one meeting. Also, the links are always open, so people are welcome to hop into a link to discuss things, at times when a meeting is not scheduled.
