Thoth Tech is founded on February 21st, 2022. Our mission is to build, operate and deploy world class education technologies. We are proud to create tools that enhance education outcomes by empowering students, connecting them with tutors and facilitating personalised learning experiences.

We are people-focused, uphold sustainable excellence while being inclusive and supportive. Our company charter and handbook are open to the public.

Open source is at the heart 💜 of Thoth Tech. We maintain and support two popular projects:

• OnTrack (also known as Doubtfire) is an innovative Learning Management System that are designed for a skill-based course delivery model. Students will gain real experience thourgh regular practice receive rapid feedback on their work on a weekly basis. This platform is used to connect tutors and students at Deakin university as well as other universities around the world.
  • The frontend of this project is primarily built with TypeScript and Angular
  • The backend is a Ruby on Rails project
  • The deployment of the entire software stack is done with docker to improve turnaround time and portability
• SplashKit is a C++ Software Development Kit. It is a beginner-friendly abstraction over SDL and many other libraries to assist in introductory programming education, and can be used to create 2D games.

In addition, we are also in the process of bootstrapping a new project:

• DreamBig is a new system that helps students develop their professional identity throughout their courses, and prepares them for a successful IT career.
