This caused by some distribution like popOS doesnt do symlink /usr/bin/python3 to /usr/bin/python caused the "thrash-protect" failed to start

Annoying, /usr/bin/python3 ought to be a standard.

I guess this change is more or less OK by now as python2 is deprecated and officially EOL, but I think there are still distros out there that isn't EOL and where /usr/bin/python is python2.
