Wish there was a way to explicitly choose the behaviour of the square button (either maximise or full-screen) or a way to put the full-screen button where the 3 window control buttons are, like other players.

I didn't think it is possible to customise that part. There was top_bar_controls, but when I changed it from "yes" to "menu", the UI did not change. How to add a fullscreen button there? |

Seems like I misread the comment. The "custom template" is just a string formatter for the title, not custom controls like the thing above the timeline. In the end, I just edited TopBar.lua and changed the 73th line to |
