Might be NoScript related. E: apparently https://jnn-pa.googleapis.com is now required to play videos longer than 1 minute. |

they did.........previously, but at this time, i have logged off of youtube in my default profile, cleared the cache, used CCleaner to specifically delete only the google/youtube cookies, then i switched to the test profile, made sure ublock was the only thing on there, everything at default, force updated the default selected filter lists, then i logged into youtube there, white listed youtube, ran a vid, got an ad, checked "Stats for Nerds", and in the section of "Mystery Text", i did NOT see SSAP, but instead SABR, and after removing youtube from the whitelist, and staggering a few youtube vids, trying to proc another ad, i have not had a youtube ad forced upon me, not a single half second ad blurb, and the SABR was not replaced with SSAP |
When you don't run any blockers, ads can be normal or SSAP, it's random. Same happen after that too. |
so there's no guarantee that they WON'T go back to SSAP if i log out of youtube on the test profile and switch back to my default profile? this is one RNG i find myself disliking |
Yeah, there's no guarantee. We used to have some cookies to test SSAP ads but very often, it's hard to reproduce the ads reliably and therefore it's difficult for us to investigate the issue too. |
did i not give the required cookies needed to help pinpoint this issue? if it'd help, in this one instance, i'd gladly give them. like, whatever files or details needed, whatever i can provide that i haven't already, say the word and im on it |
@MonfGeiger Do you still see SSAP ads recently? |

ok, i follow the instructions and create a new browser profile (with ubo only) to verify the issue. the issue doesnt persist in the new profile. now how do i fix the issue in the old profile? since the issue doesnt always show, and only happens occasionally when loading videos, how do i find which other extension or combination of extensions is causing the issue? without spending hours testing extension combos |
@Benjamin8obadiah What issue are you having? Please read the part: 🟥 When reporting, A-L-W-A-Y-S provide your
|
oh, my apologies. i didn't think the specific issue was required. my comment here wasn't asking for a fix to this issue, as its already not an issue in another chrome profile. i'm just asking how to get the same result in the empty profile with just ubo and my main with many more extensions in it, without disabling each one for a day and testing like that. the issue im having is ad remnants (in shorts player, on homepage load) and occasionally videos dont play and instead wait out the time it would take for an ad to play (about 20 sec). during this time the player is frozen and after, a full ad displays over the player with a skip button. in terms of replicating this, it's very difficult. it happens completely at random and can not-happen for a few hours and them happen a few times in the next hour. it does end up happening a few times per day. so i used the other profile for a full day to see that it wasn't happening there. this starting about 3 weeks ago and i cant link it to any changes on my end, no extensions were installed to prompt the fist incident. youtube shows no indication of blocking me for having an adblocker or anything of the like that was happening a few months back after the initial aug-oct phase. where at times the player would be blocked and the fix was refreshing the filter list. this is different. more like the ad is played in the background for the required amount of time that youtube wants you to see an ad for (i just see black and hear nothing) and then when yt decides you watched enough and the skip button would normally show (10,15,30s) then, a still image ad with a skip button loads in it feels like ubo is like the fake town in wandavision and these ads and remnants popping up are youtube trying to get me out. and i was very confused as i didn't see anyone else with this issue online, vs in the past where whenever i had an issue thousands of others also had the issue and were posting about it. which makes me thing its an extension conflict. as for the required troubleshooting info, i will provide when the issue happens again. i don't know how to reproduce, it just happens when loading videos. no relation to video length or anything like that. no other possible correlation that iv seen |
@Benjamin8obadiah Can you do these first:
copy(yt.config_.EXPERIMENT_FLAGS) then paste to https://www.logpasta.com/ and share the link here
copy(ytcfg.data_.WEB_PLAYER_CONTEXT_CONFIGS.WEB_PLAYER_CONTEXT_CONFIG_ID_KEVLAR_WATCH.serializedExperimentFlags) then share the result like step 2. |

If anyone is seeing videos stopping at 1 minute, it's because your browser / network / extensions settings is blocking SO PLEASE FOLLOW THE 1ST POST. Don't reply to another comment asking about information of another TOTALLY DIFFERENT issue. PLEASE FOLLOW THE 1ST POST. |

When trying to write into the comment section the text appears in black. It worked fine yesterday but all of a sudden it's doing that for all of YouTube. Strangely when I turn off Ublock the issue persists. Same with when uninstalling it but I guess Ublock might have bricked my Youtube in a way with a new update and traces of it are still left somewhere to cause this issue. |
Follow the 1st post PLEASE PLEASE |
Note: After each step, close your current tabs and open new tab to test again or it won't work.
I have created a new browser profile with only uBO and its default settings, and confirmed the issue still occurs in that new profile

I verified the issue does not exist if I turn off uBO.
