The main fix is d1b5b03#diff-7aca0bc19cb608324369b2f093dcde1e4c8c26159c8c339177e91833708a4b6aR426.
The reason there are a bunch of other commits is because I was originally making changes based on the most recent release, not the current state of the main branch. I did not realize this when I made the original pull requests (32 and 33). Code that had already been added was removed because the current release was behind the main branch, and I wasn't making those changes originally based on the cloned repo.
After realizing this, I made the same changes to the clone repo.
