Functional Overview

Validations:

There are three stages of validation:

1. The template spreadsheet that the agencies use to report on each project has some validations built in.
2. When the agency uploads a project spreadsheet to Cares-Reporter it rejects it (with detailed explanations) if it fails another round of validations.
3. The third round of validations happens when the multiple project spreadsheets are consolidated into a single master spreadsheet. If this round of validations fails, the errors are reported in the Audit spreadsheet.

The second and third rounds of validations make comparisons back in time to previous reporting periods using the database.
