Testing the changes

  • I tested the changes in this PR: briefly (running jupyter notebook to see it works).

Just FTR, this is used (only?) in the jupyter notebook, which is used e.g. by sagemath. I can say the jupyter notebook seems to work ok, but I am not a regular user of the notebook.

Anyway, the jupyter notebook packages are also in need of updating, I can postpone this update to do it together with the jupyter notebook update, which will bring more testing.
